User’s Journey, a silly task

Lets take a look first about what user journey is.

How we guide a person for a destination where they wanted to reach, how we go through tasks done since a long back, how we plan weekends? Yes that’s how user journey should look like.

Simple as that, a user journey defines overall stuffs to guide or get idea for user what this all is made for and how i gonna be using it. Like wise if we think of to make a user journey for a product call “Uber” then the steps would be as follows,

1. User will get out his phone from pocket

2. Select destination where he wants to go

3. Choose type of cab and fares

4. Confirm cab

5. Get a cab and enjoy riding

6. Reach to destination

7. Give feedback (optional)

8. Put his phone back to pocket

That should not contain more brief or more complicated or detailed stuffs. It has to be in more real words as how user gonna be familiar with particular product or services.

Once you done with realistic user journey, user stories can shape really good with that. Other than that there is lot more benefits to keep it real.

User journey needs how silly user can be while using a product or service, based on that journey needs to be finalize. Cause as much real and silly cases you followed a journey can take you through more cases as possible what might not be focused during being serious 😂.

As a designer its our job to make things more tested as possible, in such a way silly thoughts can also contribute similarly.

While bringing user’s engagement most probably we takes user every actions seriously. We should also keep in mind that the device is the nearest thing with which user can also play, so there is not necessary the user will use particular stuff seriously every time. In that can we almost being fail at 50% of emotional experience use cases.

Mood can’t be same every time for particular category of application for user.

A silliness is not a part of platforms like a Uber or MoneyControl or MakeMyTrip. Cause people usually go to these platforms when its extremely important service they required for time for duration. So to predict for these kind of platform might be waste of time in test.

Some entertainment or social or emotionally attached things can work for this type of mood like our huge Facebook, Tinder, Saavn, YouTube, WhatsApp etc. They must have to take care of every mood of users need. And finalize things accordingly.
